Background:

Equality 2000 was established in September 1999 as an unincorporated association. The organisation became a Company Limited by Guarantee (NI50661) with Charitable Status (XR75644) in March 2004. The project is managed by a Board of Directors who are predominately disabled people. Activities of the project include:

• Customised training courses
• Information services
• Raising awareness around disability and equality issues
• Lobbying and consultation
• A Social Economy project delivering Disability Equality training
